Committee Approves Requests To Use Public Space
The councilors approved a special request to allow a memorial celebration in honor of Rosemary Nesbitt to be held in Breitbeck Park. The committee sent other requests to the full council to be considered.
Community Remembers Rosemary Nesbitt
UPDATED – I learned a great deal from Rosemary Nesbitt. And, the education didn’t cease over the course of more than three decades since I left the classroom. Mrs. Nesbitt passed away peacefully on Sunday, with her family by her side. She was a Distinguished Teaching professor at SUNY Oswego, where she will be fondly remembered as an inspiring educator.

Rosemary Nesbitt died Sunday, 84 years old, ending a life of documenting Oswego’s history and spreading those stories to others through theater, books and talks.
