The Oswego State Mens Club Hockey team hosted rival Cortland recently and fell just short of defeating the Red Dragons at the Campus Center Ice Arena. Falling behind 2-0, the Lakers battled back to come within 1 goal but, even with the Laker goalie being pulled, couldn’t put the puck in the net for the tie.
“We always look forward to Hockey Alumni Weekend,” said Lakers head coach Ed Gosek. “It’s great motivation for our current team to have former players and teammates in the house and nice to catch up with them and their families over the course of the weekend. This year it will be even more special as our booster club has promised to turn over the proceeds from their nightly 50/50 raffle to the local chapter of the Red Cross.”
