Youth Soccer Team Celebrates Success

The Fulton Raiders U9-U10 travel soccer team recently celebrated a second place finish in their league at the Central New York Family Sports Center in Baldwinsville. Oswego State Women’s Soccer Closes Out Season With 4-0 Loss At Oneonta

The Oswego State women’s soccer team closed out its 2009 campaign with a 4-0 loss at Oneonta on Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons received goals from four different players as they clinched either the top or second seed with a 7-2-0 league record and an overall record of 11-3-3. The Lakers finished the season with a mark of 7-9-1 overall and 3-5-1 in the SUNY Athletic Conference.



Oswego State Men’s Soccer Loses To Oneonta 2-0, Clinches Berth In SUNYAC Post-Season

The Lakers, who are 5-9-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the league, have one non-conference contest remaining before facing #3-seed Geneseo on Saturday, Oct. 31 in Geneseo. Oneonta, which received the fourth seed with the victory, will host fifth-seeded Cortland next Saturday as well.

The Oswego State women’s soccer team kept its conference hopes alive in a must-win situation with a 3-1 victory over host New Paltz on Friday afternoon. Three different Lakers tallied goals as they improved to 7-8-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the SUNYAC. The Hawks fell to to 4-8-4 overall and 1-6-1 in the league.



Oswego State Men’s Soccer Keeps Pace In Playoff Race With 2-1 Win Over New Paltz

The Oswego State men’s soccer team kept pace in the SUNY Athletic Conference standings with a 2-1 win against New Paltz on Friday in Oswego. The Lakers, who improved to 5-8-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the league, moved into a four-way tie for third place with Cortland, Geneseo, and Oneonta and one game remaining on the conference schedule. The Hawks dropped to 6-9-2 overall and 1-7-0 in the SUNYAC.



Oswego’s Seniors Kick Home A Soccer Win On Their Night

The Oswego Buccaneers boys soccer team hosted the West Genesee Wildcats as they celebrated senior night under the lights. Led by a host of 13 seniors, Oswego was able to was able to play a complete and mistake free game to earn a 3-1 victory. Oswego’s Patrick Holland led the Bucs with 2 goals.  Eric Witmer added a goal with assists attributed to Antonio Darling and Ricky Wallace, all seniors.

Buffalo State scored two first half goals as the Oswego State women’s soccer team fell 2-1 to the visiting Bengals on Friday afternoon. The loss dropped the Lakers to 6-6-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the SUNY Athletic Conference, while Buffalo State improved its overall record to 3-3-5 and league record to 1-2-1.

Felipe Cavalcanti (Valatie/Ichabod Crane) chipped home the game-winning goal 2:48 into overtime as Oswego (4-6/3-1) defeated host Buffalo State (5-5-1/1-2-1), 2-1, in a SUNYAC game today at Coyer Field.
