The Oswego City School District Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools recognized the contributions of Oswego students who shaved their heads for St. Baldrick’s Day in the effort to fight childhood cancer.
Dozens Lose Their Hair To Fight Childhood Cancer
It took Emily Bradshaw nearly her entire life to grow her long brown hair. It took only a few moments for the Kingsford fifth grader’s locks to be shaved off Monday evening. However, Emily’s unselfish act will give other youngsters a fighting chance at life. The 10-year-old was one of nearly 80 people taking part in the annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation event in the food court of the Campus Center at SUNY Oswego.
Oswego Minor Hockey Players and Community Raising Money For February 28th St. Baldrick’s Event
A number of Oswego Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) players and other individuals within the community have volunteered to have their heads shaved in an effort to raise money for The St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
