SUNY Oswego Students Plan ‘Give Back’ Event

The event will be a nice community picnic, organizers said. It will be held in Breitbeck Park with free picnic baskets of food for the first 50 families. Food at a discounted rate will be available for all other attendees to purchase. There will be plenty of activities and recycling education as well.



City Alerts Parents To College Students’ Behavior

Earlier this school year, the city has been sending letters to parents of SUNY Oswego students who have been issued an appearance ticket or arrested in Oswego. The system is going well, according to Mayor Randy Bateman who has signed dozens of the form letters so far.

Rosemary S. Nesbitt, 84 of Oswego, passed away peacefully on Sunday Aug. 2, 2009, with her family by her side. She was born on Oct. 12, 1924, in Baldwinsville. In 1959, Mrs. Nesbitt adopted Oswego as her home, and worked tirelessly to bring to life the rich history of the Oswego area.
