Fulton Board of Education Petitions Now Available
As of today, (March 6) petitions are available for three open seats on the Fulton City School District Board of Education. The three open terms will commence July 1, 2017 and expire on June 30, 2020. Petitions are available at the office of the Superintendent at the Fulton Education Center located at 167 S. Fourth St. and must be returned to be filed with the district clerk between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. no later than April 26.
Oswego Professor Part of Exhibition, Panel Discussion On Suffrage, Exercising Right To Vote
Dr. Allison Rank, assistant professor of Political Science at SUNY Oswego will be one of the three speakers on the panel at next week’s Populating the Polls: Then and Now There will also be An exhibition of posters created by upstate New York designers urging residents to get out to the polls and vote. Just recently, Dr. Rank spearheaded Vote Oswego, which collected 2,637 forms to register SUNY Oswego students to vote.
No Speakers At Oswego Budget Public Hearing
No one turned out to speak at Tuesday’s public hearing regarding the 2011-12 school budget plan. The school board ratified a one-year deal with the COASA in the only action of the night.
Newcomer And Incumbent Win Oswego School Board Seats
Kathleen Allen was the top unofficial vote getter, followed by incumbent Jim Tschudy. The Oswego City School District’s budget was also approved by the voters Tuesday night.
