Former Fulton mayor Daryl Hayden is preparing to take a different seat at city hall. Hayden, a Democrat, won the Fourth Ward Alderman’s seat during this week’s General Election against incumbent Republican Dana Smith.
The fraternity brothers recently contacted their (First Ward) alderman to ask what they could do to help out members of their community, especially those in the ward. They have cleaned up Montcalm Park, assisted neighbors with a variety of odd jobs, and are looking for more things that need to be done.
The suspect allegedly struck and kicked the victim, “causing serious physical injury,” investigators said. In court today (May 14) he admitted to “recklessly” causing the death of his live-in girlfriend following an argument Nov. 17, 2007. She was found dead the next morning.
Members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office charged Frank W. Ward, 45, of 171 Chapel Road, Oswego, with first-degree manslaughter, a Class B felony. The charge follows an investigation into the death of Irene Doviak of the town of Oswego.
He has defeated the incumbent to give the Republicans a 6-1 majority on the Oswego Common Council in 2008. Connie Cosemento of the First Ward is the only Democrat to win the election.
