Annaleigh Sherman was born in Oswego Hospital on Oct. 31, 2012.

She weighed 8 pounds and was 20.25 inches long.

She is the daughter of Amanda Blake and Billyjoe Sherman, of Hannibal.

College’s New Minor In Nutrition Keys On Healthier Eating, Living

SUNY Oswego’s health promotion and wellness department recently began offering nutrition as a minor, opening opportunities for students to focus on a booming field that tries to combat national issues with what people eat and why. “Obesity has become public enemy No. 1 in public health,” said department chair Sandra Bargainnier. “We talk about exercise as a gateway to good health. Equally important is good nutrition.”

Harmony Financial Services Welcomes Nicole Rinaldo

Rob Rolfe, financial services representative and owner of Harmony Financial Services has announced that Nicole Rinaldo has been named the firm’s client service coordinator. A native of Oswego, Rinaldo had previously worked as a unit secretary at Oswego Hospital and most recently in reception and billing for Dr. James Campbell in Fulton.

Grant To Support Oswego Faculty Member’s Research On Lava Flows

Rachel Lee of SUNY Oswego’s atmospheric and geological sciences department will research the behavior of lava flows on the island of Hawaii and in laboratory simulations, thanks to a highly competitive two-year, $30,000 grant from the National Science Foundation.
