4-H Fabric Sale Needs More Fabric
The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County 4-H Program is still accepting donations of fabric and other sewing items for its third Annual Fabric Sale held in July.
Friendly competition is on at Fairgrieve Elementary School to see which children’s book is the top favorite to receive the coveted Charlotte Award. Library media specialist Barb Senecal read 10 books to each student in younger grade levels before they voted on their favorite story.
Patience and persistence helped students from the Mexico Academy & Central, Sandy Creek Central and Fulton City school districts win top honors at the annual Oswego County Battle of the Books event. Mexico Elementary School’s five-year second-place streak ended with a 120 point, first place finish for Level 1 (Grades 3 and 4).
Dufore’s has donated a beautiful silver necklace with pendent to be awarded during the event, which also features the raffle drawing for 15 cash prizes totaling $25,000 and a top prize of $10,000 to a lucky winner if all one thousand tickets are sold by the time of the event.
