Cast Announced For ‘Death In The OR’

The Oswego Players’ 75th Anniversary Dinner will take place on August 23.

As of this writing, a few tickets are still available for $35 each.

Entertainment for the evening will be a play written by Oswego’s own Dr. Michael Nupuf based on the book, “O.R.,” written by Steve Abbott and Dr. John Fountain.

Both gentlemen are planning to be present to sign copies of their work.

Inez Manor Parker will be directing “Death in the OR,” and her cast includes: Tammy Wilkinson, Beverly Murtha, Bobby Fontana, Kevin Caraccoli, Jim McGann, Michael Nupuf, Knate Roy, Kelly Mahan, Norman Berlin Jr., David Brown, Michael Moss, Sonia Berlin, Marsha Preston and Mark Cole.

Director Parker will serve as narrator.

This is a great opportunity to celebrate with the “oldest continually operating all-volunteer community theatre in the country.”

A wealth of talent as well as blood, sweat and tears has gone into the last 75 years.

Without the support of the wonderful people of the Oswego community, the group would have gone under years ago.  We thank you, everyone!

The Players are also grateful for the support from Pathfinder Bank toward the 75th season productions.

The Oswego Players’ website at www.oswegoplayers.org is the source for more information.

Outside of teaching, Canale said he can’t think of a better job than being a city councilor for anyone to pursue. “We need as many people running for office as we can get,” he said.

Some of the following reminders should be common sense, others may be confusing or unknown to some motorists. The most obvious of those rules in bad road conditions is to make sure motorists leave enough space between vehicles when driving.

Tales From the Netherlands: Montreal’s Mystery is revealed at last

While progressive rock may stand as a bad word in some sectors of the sonic world, the Dutch have always harbored a special affinity for this extended and cerebral brand of music. So it comes as no surprise that the stars aligned themselves perfectly on May 10, 2013, when Montreal based prog-rock band Mystery took to the stage of the Boerderij Cultuurpodium in Zoetermeer, Netherlands. The end result is the group’s first-ever live release, Tales from the Netherlands, an astounding ride through the band’s recent catalogue that could also serve as the perfect jumping on point for the uninitiated.
