The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee presented Sandra Canfield with a certificate of appreciation for her 30 years of service. Canfield is a caseworker with the Oswego County Department of Social Services.
Sponsors and producing organizations gathered recently to promote the Great Rope Play. It will be presented one performance only on August 2 at 6 p.m. on the Fort Ontario Parade Grounds. Audiences are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee presented a proclamation to Oswego ARISE which decrees July 26 as Americans with Disabilities Awareness Day.
The band will play songs from Lion King; Londonderry Air, arranged by Ed Lisk; Seventy-six Trombones, from The Music Man; and a salute to Louis Armstrong. The chorus, accompanied by Susan Maxwell, will present Songs of the Sea, including sea chanteys, Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid, The Boatman Stomp, a Scottish lullaby, and a medley of other sea tales.
