Fulton Woman Killed in Crash, Passenger Hospitalized

On 11/23/2012 at 11:53 p.m., members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, Town of Volney Fire Department and Menter Ambulance Service responded to a one-car fatal motor vehicle accident on Silk Road in the Town of Volney.

The driver, Karen Henderson (D.O.B. 10/27/1968) of Fulton, was killed when her 1998 Pontiac Sunfire exited the roadway and struck a tree, according to deputies.

The only other passenger of the vehicle, Brittany Thompson (D.O.B. 03/28/1973) was transported to Oswego Hospital.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.

The Oswego County Health Department announced today (July 23) that the David C. Webb Memorial Park Bathing Beach on Oneida Lake in the town of Constantia has been closed to swimming due to the presence of a blue-green algae bloom.
