G. Ray Bodley Class of 1966 Sets Reunion for July

The G. Ray Bodley High School Class of 1966 proudly announces its upcoming 45th year class reunion on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23, 2011. Reservations for these events, an Icebreaker/Greeting Event on July 22 at the Riverside Inn, Fulton and a Dinner on July 23 at Beaver Meadow Golf and Recreation near Phoenix, are now being accepted.

Oswego Council Eyes Potential Parking Revenue

An Oswego councilor suggested the city start looking now at what to do with several parking spaces currently leased by the college. The spots are north of Washington Boulevard on Sixth Avenue. They will revert back to the city Jan. 1, 2016 and will be a potential revenue source, he added.

Ritchie: Help Me Send Holiday Greetings To Troops

An initiative sponsored by the American Red Cross, Holiday Mail for Heroes collects holiday cards, personally signed by donors, to distribute to soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines at military bases, veterans’ hospitals and other locations to let them know they are remembered and appreciated back home.

SUNY Walk-a-thon benefits United Way

More than 150 students and faculty walked through the pouring rain to assist United Way in its mission to end hunger, help youth succeed and improve the overall health and well-being of Oswego County. Organized by Vega, the Women’s Junior/Senior Honor Society, the walk-a-thon raised $745.

Halloween came a little early to Morningstar Residential Care Center as residents enjoyed a costume party and luncheon with family and friends. The party is the first of many Halloween themed activities that Morningstar Residential Care has planned for its residents.

Oswego State men’s ice hockey team ranked No. 3

Oswego was named the No. 3 team in the country by USCHO.com on Tuesday night while D3hockey.com also placed the Lakers at No. 3 on Wednesday afternoon.
