Oswego County Workforce New York Offers Trade Union Forum

Oswego County Workforce New York is offering the program, Employers and You: A Trade Union Forum on Thursday, Oct. 2 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Career Center at 200 N. Second St. in Fulton.

“Job seekers can meet with representatives from local trade unions at this event,” said Judy McManus, senior employment specialist for the Oswego County Division of Employment and Training. “They will be able to gather information about the work performed by each union as well as the requirements to join.”

The presentation, “All about Unions” is scheduled to take place from 2 to 3 p.m. Participants will then have the opportunity to talk with union representatives from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

The unions that are scheduled to attend include Carpenters Local 747, Electrical Workers Local 43, Operating Engineers Local 545, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 73 and Roofers Local 195.
