Kenneth R. Reis, 61

Kenneth R. Reis, 61, of Hannibal, died August 17, 2008, at home.

He was born in Herkimer and lived most of his life in Sterling Valley. Ken was previously employed as a construction worker and tractor trailer driver. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Prior Stock Post 1552, Hannibal.

Ken was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Pearl Reis and by a sister, Ellen Reis.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Reis; two daughters Joyce (Marty) Renfro of Fort Worth, TX and Teresa Tucker of Fulton; three sons, Richard (Penny) Reis of St. Petersburg, FL, Stephen Reis of Lysander and Paul (Eleanor) Reis of Oswego; a sister, Roberta Webster of Huron, NY; five brothers, Bert Reis of Cato, Tom Reis of Martville, Chris (Bethany) Reis of Oswego, Keith (Gin) Reis of Hannibal and Kurt Reis of Wolcott; 13 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. There will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 401 North Salina Street, Suite 304, Learbury Center, Syracuse, NY 13203.
