The Oswego State women’s basketball fell to New Paltz 57-50 on the road Friday evening. The loss moves the team’s record to 5-11 on the season and 3-6 in the SUNYAC.

Oswego’s Comeback Attempt Falls Short

The Oswego State men’s basketball team fought back in regulation to force extra time but was unable to secure the victory in overtime, falling 80-71 to host New Paltz on Friday evening in the Hawk Center. Oswego’s loss is just its second in conference play, dropping its SUNYAC mark to 7-2 and overall record to 11-5.

Sandra Scott Travels: Zoo Treks Offer A Glimpse Of Wildlife

I, like many people, enjoy seeing animals in their natural habitat and have done so in many places. John and I went on safari in Kenya where we saw thousands of wildebeests and zebras migrating. I was most impressed with the height of the giraffes. When I tell people that we have spent a lot of time over the years in the rainforest I always add that we have more wildlife in our backyard than we ever saw in the jungle. The best place to really see and observe animals is in a zoo.

Fourth Grade Artists In The Making At Phoenix Elementary

The Phoenix Central School District has some blooming artistic talent in their fourth graders. Students from four different classes voluntarily spend their lunch period in Kathleen Lambert’s art room working on a variety of different independent projects.

APW Holds Exchange Concert With Sherburne-Earlville School

Students at Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Junior High School recently held an exchange concert with junior high students from the Sherburne-Earlville School District. The concert was coordinated between APW’s band director Janet Fiacco and Sherburne-Earlville’s Middle School band director Jeffrey Manwaring.
