Fulton Police: Alcohol Sting Catches Two

Two Fulton men got caught in a police sting operation aimed at cutting down on underage drinking, police allege.

Fulton Police announced they’ve ticketed Jack D. Oneill, 38, of 313 Cayuga St. Fulton and John E. Dodge, 58, of    114 W. Broadway Fulton.  Both are charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor.  Oneill is also accused of possessing marijuana.  They were ticketed and released.

Police allege an undercover teenager approached the men outside of local stores and asked them to buy alcohol for them.

It was part of a broader effort, in which an undercover teen went to local stores to try to buy alcohol.  Police targeted eight stores and none sold alcohol to the agent.  Police praised the following businesses:

Cayuga St. Fine Foods
Fastrac
Nice-n-Easy (S. Fourth St.)
Price Chopper
Byrne Dairy
Struppler’s Sure Fine
Wilson Farms
Bob’s Liquor

The undercover operation was carried out last Friday, June 4.  The program was funded by a grant received by the County of Oswego Council on Alcoholism and Addiction.
