Oswego County Sheriff’s Office 08/26/2008

On 8/15/08, Nicholas F. Graham, 19, of CR 17, Williamstown, NY, was arrested for Burglary, Third Degree, a class D felony, and Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor, after he was accused of unlawfully being in a Town of Mexico residence from which he stole a PS2 gaming system and games.  He was arraigned before the Hon. James Metcalf, Oswego City Court, and released on his own recognizance.  Mr. Graham is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Mexico Court on 9/18/08.

On 8/21/08 at 11:50 p.m., a 13 year old male residing in the City of Fulton was referred to Youth Court for acts, which if committed by an adult, would have constituted the crimes of Endangering the Welfare of a Child a class A misdemeanor, as well as Disorderly Conduct, a violation.  The youth is accused of hindering an investigation into locating a reported missing child when he intentionally provided inaccurate information regarding the missing girl’s whereabouts, then used abusive language toward the officer when the girl was located and taken into custody, all in the presence of other minors.

On 8/23/08 at 8:00 p.m., Rodney E. Turner, 43, of 14553 Church St., Sterling, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree; Unregistered Motor Vehicle; Inadequate Lighting; and Improper Plates following a traffic stop after he was observed driving a Toyota pickup truck with insufficient tail lamps on Rochester Street in the Village of Hannibal.  Mr. Turner is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Hannibal Court on 9/09/08.

On 8/25/08 at 12:28 p.m., Joseph E. Roberts, 29, of 36 Mildred Avenue, Baldwinsville, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Operation While Registration Suspended, Unlicensed Operator, and Failed to Keep Right following a traffic stop in the Town of Granby after he had been observed driving a Ford van southbound on CR 8 near CR 3, failing to keep right several times as the vehicle crossed the double yellow solid line in a no passing zone.  Mr. Roberts was arraigned before the Hon. Luther Dennison, Town of Hannibal Court, and released on his own recognizance.  He is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Granby Court on 8/25/08.

On 8/24/08, Christopher L. McCarty, 32, of 120 Craw Road, Mexico, NY, was arrested at 2:08 a.m. for Harassment, Second Degree, a violation, stemming from the investigation into a fight that occurred at the Driveway-Inn on SR 3 in the Town of Palermo.  Mr. McCarty was issued an appearance ticket and released to a third party.  He is scheduled to appear before Town of Palermo Court on 9/08/08 to answer the charge.

On 8/24/08, Michael W. Robinson, 32, of 98 Hasto Drive, Pulaski, NY, was ticketed at 6:18 p.m. in the Village of Pulaski for Operation While Registration Suspended (insurance lapse, 4/07/08) following a traffic stop after a License Plate Reader targeted his vehicle as he drove westbound on SR 13.  Released to a third party, Mr. Robinson is scheduled to answer the charge before Village of Pulaski Court on 9/10/08.

On 8/25/08, Eric L. Ellis, 17, of PO Box 21, Constantia, NY, was operating a 2000 Ford eastbound on SR 49 in the Town of Constantia at 2:48 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle 2/10 of a mile east of West Avery Road causing it to go off the right side of the roadway and overturn.  The incident reportedly occurred while he was passing several vehicles in a no passing zone and swerved back into his lane to avoid colliding with oncoming traffic.  Unsafe speed also appears to have been a contributing factor in the incident.  Mr. Ellis was ticketed for Unsafe Passing.

On 8/25/08 at 8:00 p.m., Kristen M. Carroll, 21, of 238 Durbin Road, Hannibal, NY, was served a Criminal Summons issued by Town of Hannibal Court charging her with Harassment, Second Degree, a violation.  Ms. Carroll is scheduled to appear before Town of Hannibal Court on 9/02/08 to answer the charge.  The charge stems from an incident that occurred on 8/06/08 during which she allegedly threw a large beverage cooler at a male victim, causing swelling to one of his fingers when he attempted to block the object with his hand.
