Port City Toastmasters Visited By Area Governor

OSWEGO, NY – Toastmasters Area 7 Governor Kelvin P. Ringold Sr. visited members of Port City Toastmasters.

Vice President Steve Juravich, President George A. Reed, Area Governor Kelvin P. Ringold Sr., William F. Pittsley and Ginny Stamm.

This was his official visit to Oswego.

A meeting was held at President Rev. George A. Reed, DTM’s home.

Plans for an open sample meeting of the public speaking organization were discussed.

Governor Ringold discussed the Area 7 Speech contest that is to be held at Baldwinsville Public Library on March 5 at 10:30 a.m.

The Manor To Host Program for Alzheimer Caregivers

Community members caring for those with Alzheimer’s are invited to attend a free three-part program to be held December 3, 10 and 17 at 4 p.m. at The Manor at Seneca Hill in the ground floor conference room. Eastside Oswego Fire Claims Life

Oswego firefighters responded to a house fire late Wednesday night. The blaze at an apartment house on East Third Street reportedly left one person dead. “The call at 155 E. Third St. was reported at 10:14 p.m. with units arriving three minutes later to find the upstairs apartment fully involved with fire,”Chief Jeff McCrobie said.
