Robert Fetterly, 70

OSWEGO, NY – Robert Fetterly, 70, a former resident of Oswego, passed away on Sunday January 27, 2013, in New Hartford.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Edna (Garno) Fetterly.

Surviving are his two sisters, Nancy (Robert) Lieb Jr. of Oswego and Jeanne Smith of Brooksville, Florida; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 14 at 11 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church.

There are no calling hours.

Entombment will be in All Saint’s Mausoleum.

Dowdle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

School Board, Public Hear Final Budget Update

Oswego City School District Superintendent of Schools Ben Halsey presented his final update on the proposed 2014-15 school budget on Tuesday night. More than a baker’s dozen of speakers voiced their concerns regarding possible budget cuts for the next school year. The board is expected to vote on the tentative spending plan Wednesday morning. The public vote is set for May.
