WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 AM EST SATURDAY.

* LOCATIONS…OSWEGO COUNTY.

* TIMING…THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.

* HAZARDS…DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS.

* WINDS…NORTHWEST 10 TO 20 MPH.

* WIND CHILLS…20 TO 30 BELOW ZERO.

* IMPACTS…BITTERLY COLD WIND CHILLS WILL POSE A RISK FOR FROST BITE AND HYPOTHERMIA FOR ANYONE OUTSIDE FOR EVEN SHORT PERIODS OF TIME.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A WIND CHILL WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN A STRONG WIND WILL COMBINE WITH COLD TEMPERATURES TO CREATE DANGEROUSLY COLD CONDITIONS FOR EXPOSED SKIN. THE WIND WILL MAKE IT FEEL LIKE IT IS 25 DEGREES BELOW ZERO OR COLDER FOR SEVERAL HOURS.

THOSE PLANNING TO VENTURE OUTDOORS SHOULD USE COMMON SENSE AND DRESS WARMLY.

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN STRONG WIND WILL COMBINE WITH COLD TEMPERATURES TO CREATE DANGEROUSLY COLD CONDITIONS FOR EXPOSED SKIN.

THE WIND WILL MAKE IT FEEL LIKE IT IS 15 DEGREES BELOW ZERO OR COLDER FOR A PERIOD OF SEVERAL HOURS.

IF YOU WILL BE OUTDOORS USE COMMON SENSE AND DRESS WARMLY MAKING SURE THAT ALL EXPOSED SKIN IS COVERED.

IF POSSIBLE AVOID PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO THE COLD TO PREVENT FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA.

Acoustic guitarists Lage, Eldridge to improvise, blend genres in concert

Julian Lage and Chris Eldridge will improvise on their vintage guitars as they try to surprise a Sheldon Hall ballroom audience in a performance at 6 p.m. Oct. 6, at SUNY Oswego. With the help of Lage’s and Eldridge’s 1939 Martin guitars, the musicians will explore a world of “spontaneous composition” in the free public performance presented by the SUNY Oswego music department.

Free Community Concert Event Hosted By ARC Of Oswego County Was A Huge Success – Despite Cool Weather

On September 12, ARC of Oswego County hosted a concert at West Linear Park. The band performing was Flame, a group of talented musicians from upstate New York who happen to have disabilities. The band has been featured on “Good Morning America” as well as “The Today Show.”

Susan Beebe to Present ‘Conquer the Fear of Success’ at Connections
