A 7th grader holds her cell phone camera at arm’s length. She strikes a provocative pose. She clicks the shutter button. Moments later, that photo is on its way to her 7th grade boyfriend.
Cell phones make it easy to take and send such photos. They also make it easy to forward those photos to hundreds of other people.

Oswego City Police are continuing their investigation into the March 14 death of a 44-year-old woman. Police investigators are working with the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the exact nature and possible causes of the fatal injuries.

The state Division of Criminal Justice Services this week rolled out a program that will allow people to receive a message by e-mail, text message, fax or phone whenever an offender who is in the state’s offender registry moves into or out of a community.
