For Lauren Daniels it truly was a beautiful day. She had just premiered her very first video project to a room full of people who were moved at what they saw.
The project will restore the quay wall of the West Terminal and allow for the installation of a new fender system.
Without the pier restoration, the dock will eventually become unusable for the freighters that call the Port’s bulk terminal.
This project is critical to the continuation of a significant portion of the business operations at the Port of Oswego.
When United Way board member Jonathan Daniels, executive director of the Port of Oswego Authority, was asked to reprise his role as chairperson for the United Way’s Campaign Cabinet he found it to be a decision that was easy to make.
