Literacy Volunteers is holding its first-ever raffle that includes three exciting, warm and wonderful prizes. Grand prize is a set of four Disney Park-Hopper Passes good for one day at Disney theme parks in Orlando, Fla. Second prize is a pair of emerald earrings in settings of white gold, donated by Bridge Street Jewelers and valued at $200. Third prize is a multicolored, handmade full-sized quilt whose maker has chosen to remain anonymous.

Oswego Speedway Bowling League Opens September 26 at Lighthouse Lanes

Lighthouse Lanes invites any and all participants to come and join this racing centered league, focused on gathering Speedway friends and supporters once a month to help pass the Speedway’s off-season. Each team must consist of four bowlers, in any combination.

Evergreen Hills Golf Course Hosts Golf Clinic for ARISE Participants

Participants in ARISE programs as well as Oswego County ARC and Oswego County Opportunities had the terrific opportunity to participate in a two-day golf clinic hosted by John Hayes and the Evergreen Hills Golf Course. Oswego Fire Chief Jeff McCrobie served as a volunteer instructor and worked with participants on proper golf etiquette and form.

Lavery Supermodified on Display Saturday at Performance Harley-Davidson

Pat Lavery’s Double Deuce Racing Supermodified, which finished second in the 58th running of the Budweiser International Classic 200 at Oswego Speedway, will be on display Saturday, September 20 at Performance Harley-Davidson, located on North Geddes Street in Syracuse. The display will be a part of Performance Harley-Davidson’s Fall Open House celebration, beginning at noon.
