Fulton Hoops for Hope: Sponsorships Available to Benefit Local Cancer Organizations

The third annual Fulton Hoops for Hope basketball game is set for April 5. This year, event creators Jessica Cretaro and Derek Lyons hope to raise $10,000 to give back to those affected by cancer. Business sponsorships are being accepted for the event through March 20. District Officials Share One Year Progress Update on Focus District Designation

Fulton City School District officials have presented the summary of a one year progress report after being labeled a focus district by the NYS Education Department last year. For FCSD specifically, the district attained focus status based on the elementary and middle school ELA and Math combined performance index for the Hispanic subgroup of students. Additionally, G. Ray Bodley High School was labeled a focus school based on the ELA and math combined performance index for the economically disadvantaged subgroup of students.

UPDATE: District Responds To Threat At G. Ray Bodley High School, Search Yields No Findings

Superintendent of Schools for the Fulton City School District, Brian Pulvino issued an important notice to all parents of students within the district regarding an incident at one of the schools this morning (March 9.) “G. Ray Bodley High School administration was informed by a student at 8:15 a.m. this morning that another student at GRB made an alleged threatening statement about initiating harm to others at the school,” the letter detailed.
