Buc Sports Central: Lady Bucs Lax Section Champs and Much More
With temperatures reaching nearly 140 degrees on the field the Oswego and Carthage girls’ varsity lacrosse teams squared off for the Section III Class B title. It was an emotional and physical roller coaster as the teams gutted it out before the Bucs advanced to the state regional competition for the first time in the history of the program with a 15-14 victory.
Swimmers, Lady Bucs Hockey Team Win
The swimmers gained a solid win while the girls’ ice hockey team started the season 2-0. Meanwhile, the boys’ basketball team nearly ended Baldwinsville’s winning streak.
Lady Bucs Fall In State Regional Volleyball
On Saturday, at Union College, the Oswego High School girls’ varsity volleyball team headed into State Class A quarterfinal action against Burnt Hills. However, it was a short trip into post season play as the Bucs lost 3-0. Oswego finished the year with an 11-6 record.
Lady Bucs Impressive At Swim Meet
The Lady Bucs capped an impressive season on Saturday at the Section 3 State Qualifier Championship swimming and diving meet at Nottingham High School. And, the girls’ cross country team closed out a successful season Saturday with an outstanding performance at the Section 3 Cross Country Championships.

The Oswego Lady Bucs tennis team chalked up its third win of the season while Colin Morgan and Mackenzie Robinson paced the cross country team. Oswego swimmers already have placed seven girls with sectional qualifying times.
Lady Bucs Volleyball Team Starts With A Win
The Oswego Lady Bucs volleyball team started the defense of their league title with a 25-12, 25-8, 25-14 win over Auburn. The girls are 1-0 in the league play and 1-0 overall.

Lady Bucs Hockey Clinches State Crown
The Oswego High School Lady Bucs hockey team did not surrender a goal in two days as they captured the New York State Girls’ Hockey crown on Saturday before an enthusiastic crowd in Skaneateles. The Lady Bucs scored a 4-0 title game win over Alexandria Bay and had advanced to the finals with a 3-0 shutout over host Skeanteles.
