Christie’s ‘Mousetrap’ To Open Friday
This Friday is opening night for Agatha Christie’s hugely popular whodunit, “The Mousetrap,” directed by Oswego Players’ favorite, Inez Manor Parker.
If you’re looking for entertainment to help you get into the holiday spirit this season, the latest play at Frances Marion Theatre is an event sure to please. It is the first time the Oswego Players have presented any of Dan Groggin’s “Nunsense” series and it is a far cry from the usual Christmas-themed offerings. Final shows of a Nunsense Christmas Musical are set for Dec. 10, 11 and 12.
There is plenty going on at Building 30 in Fort Ontario Park. The Art Association of Oswego and their co-tenants, the Oswego Players, have some upcoming shows and other events. Both groups would like to see more activity outside as well. The building is in need of much repair.
Eliza Parker is bound for the New York State Track and Field Championships once again as she qualified for the 100 hurdle competition. Parker shattered her previous best in the 100 meter hurdles with an outstanding time of 15.37 to advance to the state finals. She also earned a personal best in the 400 meter hurdles, with a fine time of 1:06.02, to place second, just missing the state cut time. Meanwhile, the boys’ varsity track and field team wound down the year and the boys’ modified lacrosse team finished a perfect season 10-0. […]
