Submit a photo

Use the form below to submit one or more photos to us. A caption for each photo is required. For any photo, make sure you tell us who is in the photo, from left to right and from front row to back.

There are only two rules for photo submissions:

1. You must own the photo or have permission to share it. Do not submit the works of other people without permission.

2. All photos must be smaller than 2 meg in file size. Use any photo editing tool to reduce the photo's size to reduce its file size.

All submissions are approved by an editor before they are published to the website. We check for new submissions daily.

  • Put a brief headline here that describes what the photo's about.
  • Use this field to tell us a story about the photo, if there's more to it than the caption. This is an optional field.
  • A caption for each photo is required. Only one photo is required, though you can submit up to five.

Learn to Sail Summer Program Scheduled

The H. Lee White Maritime Museum’s Learn to Sail Summer program offers a variety of youth and adult sailing classes to help community members experience the enjoyment of our amazing waterfront. The classes will run through July and early August and cover a variety of skill levels. They are instructed by a U.S. Sailing Association certified instructor.

Youngsters Kick Off Harborfest with Children’s Gala

The first Oswego Harborfest event of the year will be the annual Children’s Gala in Breitbeck Park on July 21 from 6-7:30 p.m. Children in attendance will enjoy a delicious cake and ice cream social from Port City Café and Bakery as well at P.J.’s Ice Cream and Barlow Concessions.

Varsity Athletes Recognized at APW Varsity Athletic Banquet

Eleven out of the fourteen APW Varsity teams were scholar athlete teams this spring. The New York State Public High School Athletic Association recognizes teams that excel in the classroom at the end of each season.

Woman Searching For Her Sister

Jody Carotenuto of Pennsylvania is looking for her sister; and she’s turned her attention toward Central New York. “I’m looking for my sister, Amy, who was separated from my brother and I in 1971. I found out about her in 1993 when I found our birth parents. I was in total shock,” she said. “According to our birth mother, she told the St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services to keep us together.”
