06/20/2010 – St. Joseph’s Festivale Italiano

pOswego’s premiere summer festival, St. Joseph’s emFestivale Italiano/em, will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 18 and 19, on the church grounds.  The community looks forward to this event, as it is always a great place for families and friends to meet, eat, take chances on excellent prizes, and have fun./pp        The festival’s menu has been expanded this year to include chicken barbecue, Italian entrees, hot dogs, sausage sandwiches, pizza, Texas hots, fried dough, strawberry shortcake, pies, coffee, beer, wine, and soda./pp        “Sounds of Brass” will provide entertainment on Friday night, and there will be karaoke on Saturday night to give would-be Idols their chance to be heard./pp        In addition to games of chance, a “Critters” booth, a cake booth, the popular Grocery Game, and an expanded Kiddieland, which this year includes balloon animals and face painting, will delight festival-goers of all ages.  Back by popular demand, a huge white elephant sale will take place throughout the two nights of the festival.    /pp        Prizes totaling $1,750 will be offered in the parish raffle, and tickets to lottery tree raffles and themed basket raffles (movies, racing, and spa packages) will be available, as well./pp        On Father’s Day, Sunday, June 20, St. Joseph’s strongwill have a chicken/strong strongbarbecue only/strong.  It will begin at 12:00 noon and continue till sold out./pp        The parishioners of St. Joseph’s Church cordially invite all of Oswego to attend “Festivale Italiano.”  All proceeds go to Trinity Catholic School./p
