At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Doug Stevens introduced Valerie Edwin from the Oswego AmeriCorps, who explained how this organization serves the needs of youth in our commuity by partnering with various nonprofit faith-based organizations and public agencies. After successful completion of their term of service, which is usually 9 – 12 months, the AmeriCorps members receive a monetary award that can be used to further their education or to pay off existing school loans. If interested, call AmeriCorps in Oswego at 349-3451. Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton’s Riverside Inn.
