OFD, Animal Control Rescue Stranded Deer

OSWEGO, NY – On Thursday, the Oswego Fire Department units along with Animal Control personnel responded to a report of a deer stranded on the rock wall in the center of the river.

Fire Department personnel responded in the fire/rescue boat and carefully eased the deer to shore to awaiting animal control personnel.

Once back on dry land, the deer was still careful not to get too close to the guy with the camera.

I would just like to say thank you to everyone of you who helped /reported/risked your own lives in recuing this poor helpless deer . im sure if he could talk he would thank all of you for saving his life . again thank all of you for actually caring enough to go out of your ways ……….matthew soluri
