To The Editor:
The 17th Annual Hospice Cup Regatta, held on June 18, raised more than $20,000 – that will be used to support Oswego County Hospice patients and their families.
Our success is directly tied to the support we receive from this community, both businesses and individuals.
The Friends of Oswego County Hospice extends a sincere thank-you to the many volunteers and sponsors who commitment to the Oswego County Hospice Cup Regatta again made the event an outstanding success.
The Oswego County Hospice Cup Regatta would not have been possible if not for the support we received from our major sponsors: Entergy, Exelon Generation, Pathfinder Bank and Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.
Other contributors included restaurants, associations, local businesses, funeral homes, individuals and patients’ families.
Thank-you to Patty Chavarria, who provided free entertainment at the reception and to those who donated raffle prizes and silent auction items.
The reception featured donations from more than 20 local eateries.
The Oswego Yacht Club, as always, was a gracious host and provided us with the support we needed to have such a successful event.
Thanks go out to all who sailed in the Regatta and those who came attended our reception.
Again, an event of this magnitude could not happen without the help of our Regatta organizing committee and dozens of volunteers.
This outpouring of support is overwhelming and on behalf of Oswego County Hospice, patients and their families, thank you all for what you do.
You make life a little easier for our hospice patients and families at a time when they need it the most.
