Established by Congress in 2000, Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor spans more than 500 miles across the full expanse of upstate New York.

In addition to the Erie, Cayuga-Seneca, Oswego, and Champlain canals, the Corridor encompasses 4,834 square miles in 23 counties.

It is home to 2.7 million people and host to hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.

The Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor, in partnership with the National Park Service, works to preserve and share our extraordinary heritage, to promote the corridor as a world-class tourism destination, and to foster vibrant communities connected by the waterway. www.eriecanalway.org
