4th Annual Ride for Ramps is Fast Approaching

Oswego, NY – Engines will rev and feet will pedal as the community comes together to ride in support of the ARISE Oswego County Ramp Program.

The fourth annual Ride for Ramps on June 9 at Woodchuck’s in Oswego promises to be bigger and better than ever. Participants can collect pledges and ride for ramps in either the motorcycle ride through Oswego County countryside or the one-mile bicycle ride around Fort Ontario.

Families can stay for the classic car cruise-in, bounce house, games, prize giveaways, and more activities. There will be a delicious Chicken BBQ for only $8 per meal, and JaMz Dj & Karaoke will be providing music throughout the day.

Most importantly, the event will benefit the ARISE Oswego County Ramp program. Already, more than 20 families are in desperate need of a ramp to allow access to and from their homes. There are volunteers ready to design and build ramps, but funding is needed to purchase building materials. Proceeds from the Ride for Ramps will be used to purchase the needed construction materials. All of the money raised through the event will stay in Oswego County.

Join ARISE in helping people stay in the community they love, and come out to the Ride for Ramps.

For information, how to register, or to purchase chicken barbecue tickets, contact Jim Karasek at 342-4088 ext. 206 or [email protected] You can also visit rideforramps.org for all the latest event information.

ARISE’s Ride for Ramps is supported by Empower Federal Credit Union, the Hayner Hoyt Corporation, Woodchuck Saloon, Fort Ontario, Murdock’s Bicycles & Sports, B-104.7, Fulton Savings Bank, and Adams Apple Services, Inc.
