John A. Pinkevicz, 63, of Fulton died Wednesday, August 3, at home.

Born in Little Falls, he was a 24 year resident of Fulton, previously living in Fort Plain. John was a Production Supervisor at Nestle Company in Fulton retiring in 2002 after 5 years. He had also worked at Sealright Co. in Fulton, Durkee-French Foods in Wolcott and LifeSavers in Canajoharie for many years.

John was a member of the First United Methodist Church and B.P.O.E. # 830 both in Fulton. An avid sports enthusiast, John was a New York Yankees fan and enjoyed coaching basketball and softball.

Surviving: his wife of 30 years, the former Sandra Gray: two daughters, Brittany Pinkevicz of Johnson City and Michelle Pinkevicz of Fulton; mother, Jacqueline Gehring of Little Falls; an aunt, Amelia Pinkevicz of Fort Plain; mother-in-law, Hazel Gray of Canajoharie; a brother-in-law, Ron Gray of Boynton Beach, FL; faithful companion, Jeter, who never left his side.

Calling hours are 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday with a 3 p.m. service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.

    Sara Hill told us of your loss. I will remember John as a very good person who was respected by all at Durkee-French when I worked with him in Wolcott. He worked hard and had a great sense of humor. Fun to be with when he and Rick Parks sang at the Christmas parties.
