Summer Solstice Watch Set at Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center

AMBOY – Celebrate the beginning of summer by enjoying an evening of waterfowl and wildlife watching at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center, when naturalist Pat Carney will present a Summer Solstice Watch on June 21 at 7 p.m.

From the observation deck and tower, participants might observe osprey, eagles and herons fishing; goslings and ducklings with their parents; beavers and muskrats foraging; and other interesting residents of the pond and wetland.

An evening concert throughout the watch will feature avian and amphibian choruses.

Participants are encouraged to dress for an evening program. Bug spray and binoculars recommended. A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow.

The program fee is just $4 per person, $12 per family, and children younger than 3 are free.
