A ‘Fun Day’ at Parish Elementary School

<p>Students at Parish Elementary School participated in an egg relay race at the school’s annual Fun Day celebration. The Fun Day, sponsored by the Parent Teacher Association, was for students in kindergarten through fourth grade and featured fun activities such as relay races, kickball, a bicycle rodeo, carnival games, and a picture booth.</p>

<p>Parish Elementary School third grade student Damien West stops at a railroad crossing on the bike rodeo course during his school’s Fun Day celebration. Oswego County Traffic Safety Board Coordinator Billie Crandall Brady set up the obstacle course which featured a pedestrian crossing, a railroad crossing, a stop light, various traffic hazards, and one-way signs to remind and educate students about the many aspects of bicycle safety. Other activities that took place during the annual Fun Day include cooperative relay races, carnival games and a fun photo booth. The school’s Parent Teacher Association sponsored the event which was for students in kindergarten through fourth grade.</p>
