A Visit From Rudy’s Is A Welcome Summer Ritual At St. Luke

OSWEGO – For many in Oswego summer means a trip to Rudy’s Lakeside on “The Loop.”

And what has become an “end of summer” ritual for folks at St. Luke Health Services, Rudy’s owner Carol Livesey brought all the fixings to St. Luke for a great lunch, featuring Rudy’s favorites like a fish sandwich and of course – “Texas Hots.”

And this luncheon would not have been the same without a chance to visit with Carol, who reminisced with many of the residents who have been Rudy’s customers for years!

To add to the special event, St. Luke’s Riverview Room was transformed into a seaside restaurant through the magical touch of the Activity Department and volunteers, who worked hard to make the annual “End of Summer” luncheon a success.

“We extend a sincere thanks to the Livesey family and everyone at Rudy’s for taking time to come and visit with our folks, help us provide a great meal, and make this a special event for our residents,” said Donna Rose, director of activities at St. Luke. “Our folks look forward to the summertime ritual of a visit to Rudy’s. It is a special treat when Rudy’s can come to them.”
