Agnes H. Celestain, 90, a resident of 104 Tallman St. Oswego, passed away November 3, 2008 at the Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Sczebak) Krawezyk.
She was a self employed hair dresser for many years.
She was an avid golfer receiving 4 hole-in-ones. She was a 30 year member of the Oswego Country Club where she received numerous club championships and also a member of Griffin’s Greens golf course and its Senior League.
Agnes enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and watching local golfer David Branshaw.
Surviving are her husband, Walter J. Celestain; a daughter, Mary Ann (Mike Conaway) Van Brocklin of Oswego; a son, Stanley (Susan) Celestain of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Helen Ciesla, of Oswego; three grandchildren, Erik Van Brocklin, Aaron Celestain and Sarah Celestain; two great-grandchildren, Allison Van Brocklin and Alexander Celestain; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by six brothers, John, Peter, Joseph, Stanley, Paul and Walter Krawczyk and sisters, Sophie Mumford, Sadie Beginski, Rose Prucnal and Louise Wilk, and granddaughter, Jill Van Brocklin.
Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Thursday at St. StephenÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Church. Burial will be in St. PeterÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Cemetery.
