Pulaski, NY – On July 7, at approximately 10:30 p.m., State Police in Pulaski responded to 1083 State Route 104 in Albion, for a report of an assault in progress.
A male victim was taken to University Hospital, Syracuse, where he was treated for a broken orbit and a fractured vertebrae.
State Route 104 in that area was shut down with assistance from the local fire department, since the perpetrator was thought to be in the area and armed with a .30 caliber rifle.
The perpetrator, Randy A. Schouten, age 29, from 1083 State Route 104 Albion, was taken into custody at approximately 4 a.m. today (July 8) without incident.
He was charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Menacing.
