LISBON – Alice E. Race, 78, of Tracy Road, died Thursday April 11, 2013, at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lawrence Funeral Home, Canton.
A funeral will follow at 1:15 p.m. with Rev. Zack Working officiating.
Burial will be in Morley Cemetery.
Alice was born December 20, 1934, in Fulton, NY, a daughter of Pearly C.and Mildred (Dubois) Sixberry.
Formerly of the Fulton, she moved to the North Country in 1970.
Surviving are son, Robert Reynolds of Ogdensburg; two daughters, Susan Deuel and her husband, Warren, of Fulton and Wendy Lewis and husband, Jim, of Syracuse; eight step-children; a brother, Vernon and Dolly Sixberry of Maine; a sister, Mildred Clark of Fulton; two step-sisters, Cara Flacker of North Syracuse and Robin Hanson of Central Square; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her longtime companion, “Polly.”
She was predeceased by her parents, step-mother, Susie Sixberry (2008) and step-fathers, Val Dubois and Francis Hicks; and her husbands, Fay A. Reynolds, Robert E. Guyette and Richard K. Race.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley and Morley Wesleyan Church.
