OSWEGO, NY – Alma M. (Sova) Piersall, 79, a resident of the Middle Road in the town of Scriba, passed away Tuesday September 22, 2015, at Oswego Hospital, surrounded by family members.
Mrs. Piersall was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Betty (Pryor) Sova.
She was a life resident.
She was an outstanding bowler and had worked at the Bowlerama and the Pinerama bowling lanes.
She participated in many leagues and was inducted into the Oswego Bowling Hall of Fame.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a loving caregiver to many family members.
She was the wife of the late Albert Piersall, who died on December 28, 2014.
She is survived by a daughter, Melanie (Robert) Porter-Crisafulli; three grandchildren, Daniel, Ryan and Brandon; four great-grandchildren, Jayda, Sayde, Paysen and Kennedy; three brothers, Daniel (Theresa) Sova of Florida, David (Carol) Sova of Illinois and Wayne (Doreen) Sova of Texas; three sisters, Karen Sova of Oswego, Sheila (George) Todd of Oswego and Josephine (Richard) Roach of Hannibal; a sister-in-law, Judy Sova of Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by two daughters, Debra Lee Piersall and Christine Elaine Piersall; a son, Bradford A. Piersall; and three brothers, Jerry Sova, Richard Sova and Bruce Sova.
There will be no services or calling hours.
