Alta Clair, 92, of Oswego died Friday in the Oswego Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Croton, NY the daughter of the late Ross and Rachel (Lancaster) Haverly. Mrs. Clair was a resident of Ossining, NY prior to moving to Oswego fifteen years ago. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and great grandmother.
Mrs. Clair was predeceased by her husband Edward Clair, and brother Allen Haverly.
She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Clair of Oswego, 3 grandchildren Rick Huntington, Shannon Geronimo, and Cassandra Wallace, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego. Calling hours will be Sunday 11:00 a.m.- 1:00p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions be made to ARISE or Meals on Wheels
