OSWEGO – Bishop’s Commons in Oswego will host the first of a three-part educational program by the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter entitled, “Living with Alzheimer’s” For Early-Stage Caregivers,” on June 8 from 3:30 to 7 p.m.
This educational program is free of charge and open to the public.
In the early stage of Alzheimer’s disease, families face new questions as they adjust.
This three-part series is designed to provide care partners with the knowledge; tool and strategies needed to cope with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or related dementia.
We will address:
• Symptoms associated with early-stage Alzheimer’s
• Planning for the future
• Strategies for coping with changes
• Developing a medical team
• Disclosing the diagnosis and work issues
• Legal and financial issues
• Safety issues
• Caring for yourself
