Throughout the summer of 2015 there was a big emphasis on nutrition during the time we were at the library and fitness during the Olympics activities.
Aside from fitness and nutrition, AmeriCorps members, Cassie Tighe and Megan Dignean and the children painted a stencil of the United States on the basketball court.
The children loved being involved and creative, allowing them the opportunity to claim ownership in their work.
Not only have the children at the park used the United States as part of their basketball game, but the community has also benefited.
The fun colors, scaled size, and position of the United States is a perfect addition to the community.
Anyone is welcomed, and most definitely encouraged to spend time at Taft Bay Park.
