WILLIAMSTOWN – Members of the Oswego County AmeriCorps program provide services for families and their children at many different sites throughout the county.
They focus on the needs of each community served by providing nutrition and fitness education, summer feeding programs and community service projects run by members to benefit each community.
Creativity rules this summer at Camp Zerbe where children ages 6-10 enjoy our summer feeding program as well as games, crafts and more.
AmeriCorps members carefully plan fun and exciting activities to keep kids engaged for eight weeks, while incorporating information on healthy nutrition and encouraging lifelong exercise habits.
AmeriCorps members strive to make each child feel safe, welcome and ready to build new experiences, having fun and creating some lasting friendships with our campers and their families.
The camp runs Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. mid-June until August 12.
Camp Zerbe is also running a food drive until August 12.
All food collected will be donated to the Parish Ecumenical Food Pantry.
Anyone wishing to participate can drop off non-perishable food items to Camp Zerbe, located on State Route 104 in Williamstown, during camp hours or contact a councilor to arrange pickup through the Camp Zerbe Facebook page.
