Angelo Lavin Sr., 94, of 319 Tug Hill Rd., Town of Oswego, passed away June 19, 2010 at home.
Born in Websterville, VT, he was the son of the late Angelo and Genevieve (Emiterio) Lavin.
He was an US Army Air Corp. Veteran and member of the C.C.C.
He worked as an Office Machine Repairman for John J. Stocker Co. and Ft. Drum.
Angelo loved to travel with his wife, fish, hunt, bird watch, gardening and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 57 years in Rodman.
Surviving are two daughters, Philena (Charles) Holdridge of Oswego and Melanie (Carter) deGraff of Adams Center; a son, Angelo Lavin Jr.; six grandchildren, Travis, Shannon, Tim, Jason, Rebekah and Angela; nine great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Philena Johnson Lavin and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held 2p.m. Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held 1pm to 2 pm. Thursday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 11 W. Albany St. Oswego.
Graveside services will be held 11a.m. Monday, June 28, at Brookside Cemetery, Watertown, NY.
