OSWEGO, NY – Ann M. Chwalek, 95 1/2, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Friday August 26, 2016, at the St. Luke Health Services.
Born in Cambridge, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Julius and Constance (Letsche) Rucynski and had attended Oswego schools.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed trips to the Turning Stone with her family and friends.
She enjoyed traveling and pet sitting and was an avid reader.
Mrs. Chwalek always enjoyed her daily walk.
Surviving are her daughter, Arlene (Ed Izyk) Burkhead of Oswego; a son, Bronac J. Poczatek of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a granddaughter, Andrea Stepien of Oswego; two grandsons, Jeffrey Burkhead of Las Vegas and Jason Burkhead of Mechanicsville, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Dwight, Taylor Ann, Raquel and Sofia Burkhead; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Bronac J. Poczatek and Walter J. Chwalek.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from St. Stephen’s Church.
Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
