FULTON, NY – CNY Arts Center announced a new downtown location for the fourth annual Arts Fest June 14, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Arts in the Heart Gallery at 47 S. First St.
“We are celebrating the first anniversary of the gallery the entire month of June and felt the downtown location was perfect for our annual celebration of handmade original art,” said Nancy Fox, director. “Each year the festival grows with more and more artists and crafters. We want to take them where the art happens year-round for the community. What better place than right at the gallery in the heart of downtown?”
To accommodate the 50+ vendors, CNY Arts Center is working with Fulton City Police to close some sections of South First Street immediately in front of the gallery and south half a block to ease foot traffic from farmers’ market.
Traffic will flow normally down Cayuga Street and southward from Fulton Savings Bank drive-thru lanes.
“We are convinced this will bring more attention to the arts and more foot traffic for our vendors who display some amazing artistry,” Fox continued. “We want this to be a true celebration of the arts and yet free to the public. We are hoping the community will come out to enjoy the sidewalks full of arts. We’re bringing some exciting entertainment and we’ll present our next community mural project for everyone to help assemble during Arts Fest.”
