CNY Arts Center announces its fourth annual Arts Market and invites artists, crafters, antiques, flea marketers and food vendors to participate September 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the old Nestles parking lot on Fay Street in Fulton.
An added feature this year, nonprofit organizations are invited to participate at no charge.
The Arts Market has become one of the most remembered events of the year for CNY Arts Center, typically with a wide variety of vendors and a crowd of shoppers.
The event coincides with Fulton’s annual city-wide yard sale. Folks head out for one last great shopping adventure before winter sets in, looking for deals and getting a head start on Christmas shopping with unique original arts and crafts.
“It’s a great way to wrap up a busy summer and give artists, crafters and other vendors one more chance to display their work to the general public,” said Nancy Fox, director. “The large parking lot is a popular location for this gathering with ample room for everyone and on a beautiful fall day it is one event that people seem to remember the easiest!”
“This is truly a market as opposed to an arts festival in the variety of vendors we’re seeking,” Fox continued. “We are proud to include independent consultants who work from home selling commercial product lines. Because these small business owners can have a significant economic impact and need to reach a broader public, we always accept a limited number of vendors from this category alongside hand-made original arts and crafts. In keeping with the theme of the city-wide yard sale, we also accept a limited number of flea-market vendors. Of course antiques and vintage vendors are also welcome and we’re happy to host non-profit organizations with no vendor fee. We fully appreciate all the opportunities we have to participate at events without charge and this is our chance to play host and return the favor.”
CNY Arts Center will once again raffle baskets of goods donated from vendors participating in the event.
Activities for children will include sidewalk chalk art and bubble fun.
More events and activities are being planned.
Food vendors, artists and other vendors are encouraged to apply online at www.CNYArtsCenter.com or call 592-3373 for more information.
